About Sara Yang

Sara has been assisting Peter since 2006, and has seen litigation at every level, from the Magistrate’s Court, all the way to the Court of Appeal. Her vast experience includes assisting in the following cases:

  • Criminal defence of Tey Tsun Hang, a law professor of the National University of Singapore (2012 to 2013) in the so-called “sex-for-grades” corruption case;

  • Criminal defence of Koh Li Ping, an ex-national table tennis player (2012 to 2013) against a criminal breach of trust (CBT) charge;

  • Criminal defence of Brother Anthony Tan (a member of a Catholic religious order), the former principal of a top Singapore school (2012 to 2013) against a CBT charge;

  • Criminal defence of Johnson Chong, a director of a public listed company [Airocean Group Limited](2010) against charges of insider trading, reckless failure to disclose material information to SGX and making an announcement that was misleading in a material particular on SGXNET;

  • Representing  Chow Kwok Ching against two brothers, Chow Kwok Chi and Chow Kwok Chuen in a company share-holders’ dispute (2008 to 2010);

  • Criminal defence of David Chew, the Executive Chairman of a public listed company against a charge of voluntarily causing hurt (2008);

  • Defending Dow Jones-owned Far Eastern Economic Review when sued for defamation by (then) Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong (2007 to 2010); and

  • Assisting in the defence of Richard Yong and Loo Say San, the former Chairman and Treasurer of the National Kidney Foundation respectively in both civil and criminal cases (2007).

    Sara also manages the administrative operations of the firm.
