About Clarissa Koh
Clarissa joined Peter Low & Choo LLC as a Trainee Lawyer in 2015. As part of her training with the firm, Clarissa assisted in the firm’s complex civil, commercial, matrimonial and criminal litigation.
Clarissa’s experience includes:
Assisting in contested and uncontested matrimonial proceedings for private clients, both locals and expatriates, including proceedings with cross-border elements and proceedings involving matrimonial assets worth over $10 million;;
Assisting in matters concerning the Protection from Harassment Act (2014), including the first successful application in Singapore for an Expedited Protection Order under the Act;
Assisting in Management Corporation Strata Title and tenancy disputes including local historical sites; and
Assisting in the criminal defence of various offences under the Penal Code, Misuse of Drugs Act and Road Traffic Act.
Clarissa graduated from the University of Leeds with a Upper Second Class Degree. Clarissa attained Distinctions in both Criminal and Evidence Law in Part A of the Singapore Bar Examinations. Having participated actively in the University of Leeds Innocence Project while she attended Law School, Clarissa takes a strong interest in the prevention of miscarriages of justice in both local and global contexts. Clarissa had found great satisfaction in providing free legal assistance to applicants in the United Kingdom – mainly prisoners – who maintained that they had suffered wrongful convictions.
Professionally, Clarissa serves on the Young Lawyers’ Committee of the Law Society of Singapore.
